The CONTRA series double bass strings are made of high quality selected silver alloy wire, 
hand-wound on multi-filament nylon core by master string makers. These innovative strings 
are developed to offer a tone and feeling very similar to gut strings, with best sound projection 
and support. Excellent for plucking, they also work very well with a bow.

Markbass Strings are made at our factory in Abruzzo (Italy), using the best selected innovative 
materials and ultimate quality controls matched with the ancient tradition of master string makers.   
Maybe not many people know that since the past centuries Abruzzo has been the motherland of 
almost all string makers.

we need to know about rhythm, but also moderation. And if you’ve ever seen a child make their 
own music, experienced the moment when they realized how to make it sound the way they want

That’s what we developed our Melody line for. Two 1-piece models, with either German or Baroque 
fingering, offer the perfect starting point for the smallest musicians. Designed specifically 
for children, both models are made from robust plastic and can easily be cleaned under 
cold water.

The ingenious idea behind this pick is to take a standard 351 style pick and cut out
a star shape in the middle. The result? A pick that's easier to grip and has less slip, 
giving you more control.

of this material coupled with considerable clarity and tone. 
An alternative to the 92/8 bronze Jumbo King series, crystal clear resonance would

Beyond the bronze age
One of the earliest copper based materials used for acoustic strings was the 80/20 
brass series from around the 1940s. It is commonly referred to as “yellow bronze”.
 
Comprised of 80% copper and 20% zinc, it offers a zingy bright top end with strong bass 
frequencies and a scooped mid-range."

Solo Bass 55 5-String Standard long Scale 45-130

The original pressure wound stainless steel bass string designed in the mid-1970s. Similar 
to Rotosound Swing Bass 66 strings but with a smoother feel.
Due to rolling, mass is retained and therefore its brightness. Our half wound Solo Bass 55 
strings eliminate finger noise, reduce fret wear, work well on fretless 
basses and excel in the studio.

Inspired by the penetrating tone of legends such as John Entwistle and Chris Squire, 
players worldwide have strung up their bass guitars with Swing Bass 66 strings.
The distinctive sound of our roundwound Swing Bass 66 strings have been used by the 
bass-world’s biggest hitters such as Jaco Pastorius, Geddy Lee, Billy Sheehan, Noel 
Redding, Duff McKagan, and John Paul Jones. The bright
