Beskrivelse
The chromatic harmonica was revolutionary when it was first released over 100 years ago
and its unmistakable sound has helped define jazz, blues, pop and classical music
ever since its inception. Today, the Hohner Chromonica is still the blueprint for
all modern chromatic harmonicas.

Its unique sound can be both soft and powerful, equally capable of haunting melodies
as well as searing jazz licks. Our Chromonica Series embodies the spirit which inspired
Hohner to create the original and is perfect for both beginners and advanced players
who are looking for the feel and dynamics of great artists such as Larry Adler or
Toots Thielemans.

The Jazz Legend
Being one of the greatest Jazz harmonica players of the 20th century,
and an influence to countless artists, it was always clear that one instrument
alone wouldn’t pay justice to the incredible Toots Thielemans. So we made two.
This second instrument is also designed specifically to Toots’s specifications.
Thick reed plates and long slot reeds give the Hard Bopper a rich, voluminous sound and incredibly
fast single reed response, making it perfect for fast-paced, rocking styles.

Special thick and coated reed plates

The thick reed plates promise a rich, voluminous sound
and an incredibly fast response

Wooden comb
The wooden comb ensures a warm, rich sound
and is lacquered to eliminate swelling

Special cover plates
The cover plates are embossed with
Toots’ signature and a serial number

Chrome-plated mouthpiece
Outstanding sliding properties thanks to
the chrome plating

The Little Bit More
Sometimes you just need a little bit more to fully express how you feel. When Sonny Boy Williamson II discovered
the rich, deep toned sound of the 12 hole Echo Vamper harmonica, it inspired him to record one of his best known
pieces, Bye Bye Bird, dedicated to the great Charlie Parker. Now known as the Marine Band 364/24, very little has
changed since Sonny Boy first played this classic harp except the engraving on the top cover and the color of the
comb. You always felt there was something missing from your perfect blues tune? The 364/24 just might be it!

The One and Only Blues Harp
The name evokes the typical blues sound. It is a metaphor for whiskey bars,
juke joints, and good times; synonymous with wide plains, open fields,
and pilgrimage: The Blues Harp®. For over 50 years, the harmonica has shaped
the sound of blues, rock, and sometimes even folk.
The Blues Harp® is designed for this specific blues sound, but thanks
to the modular system it can easily be adjusted and changed to anything
you want it to be – easy, quickly, at any time.
Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, the Blues Harp® is the harp
for you.

Modular construction
The comb, reed and cover plates are interchangeable with all other MS series
for many possible combinations that suit your playing style
